  • Card order does not matter.
  • Ace can be treated as lowest rank to complete a straight (e.g., A-2-3-4-5).
  • Ace can be treated as highest rank to complete a straight (e.g., 10-J-Q-K-A).
  • 5 of a Kind requires at least 1 Wild card in the hand.
  • Only highest paying outcome paid per hand.
  • Different paytables can have different minimum rankings for which prizes are paid (e.g., the lowest winning outcome in Deuces Wild is 3 of a Kind).

Wild Cards

Some paytables are based on the use of one or more wild cards:

  • In Deuces Wild and Deuces Wild Bonus, each of the four cards with the rank of '2' is wild.
  • In Joker Poker, the single Joker card added to each deck in each game is wild.
  • A given wild card can substitute for any other card to form the highest paying outcome.
  • In Deuces Wild and Deuces Wild Bonus, the wild can be evaluated as a regular '2' if that maximizes the outcome (e.g., for the hand AC-2H-3C-4C-5C, the wild card is evaluated as a 2C in order to form a straight flush – the highest outcome possible for that hand).
  • Certain paytables pay a different award amount for a Royal Flush based on whether or not the hand contains any wild cards – see paytable for details.
  • Dealt wild cards are not automatically held.
  • A given wild card in the deck is equally as likely to be dealt as any other remaining card.

Additional Information

Expected Payback

In accordance with fair gaming practices required in most legal jurisdictions worldwide, all cards come from a fair deck that has been randomly shuffled. Thus every card remaining in a given deck is equally likely to be the next card dealt.

The expected payback reflects the theoretical return across a very large number of plays by numerous players over an extended period of time. The SEE PAYS associated with each video poker paytable displays the expected payback for that specific paytable. The results for any given player over a play session can vary widely from this long-term, expected average in either direction. The fewer the number of games played, the wider the normal variance of actual payback that may be experienced.

The expected payback value is also based upon correct player choices for any game that involves main game and/or bonus game play strategy.

Transaction History

Outcomes of prior cash-play hands available in player history indicate:

  • Per-hand wager
  • Total amount wagered per game (all hands combined)
  • Initial 5 cards dealt to base hand
  • Cards held in all hands
  • Final cards for each hand
  • Award type / win amount for each winning hand (if any)
  • Total win amount (if any) per game
PlayIn the case of a dealt Royal Flush that is automatically held and awarded, the Transaction History only shows:
  • Total wager
  • Initial 5 cards dealt to base hand
  • Total win amount

The base hand, which is the lowest hand on the playfield, is labelled Hand 1. Remaining hands are labelled based on position, from bottom to top.

The maximum win from a single game is $400,000

How to play Five Play Draw Poker Online

The goal of this game is the same as in every other game of video poker: you need to create the best possible five-card poker hand to win.

To do so, you'll receive a five-card poker hand that you will need to improve by keeping/discarding any of the cards you receive.

To begin a game of Five Play Draw Poker online, you need to:

  1. Select the variant you want to play
  2. Place one bet
  3. Click on the 'Deal' button

Once the game begins, you receive five cards - all face up.

Select the cards to keep. Once you select a card from the main hand, this gets added to all the other four on the screen.

When you are done, click on the 'Draw' button.

The dealer replaces all the cards you discarded with new ones on your main hand and deals new cards to the other four hands that you populated in the previous step.

This is where you discover if you made the right choice and the cards you keep lead to one, two, three, four, or five different winning combinations. Payouts and bonuses depend on the variant of your choice.

If you are not sure about the payouts, each game contains all the information you need.

Whenever in doubt, click on the 'See Pays' button on the lower-left corner to know what each hand pays and what hand you need to qualify.

Every game comes with a different paytable and subset of rules. For example, if you play Jacks or Better or Double Bonus poker, you need at least a pair of Jacks to qualify for a win.

How to Win at Five Play Draw Poker

Like most games of its kind, 5 play video poker is one where the right strategy can help you go very far.

The low house edge inherently connected to video poker games is the secret of their popularity among experienced gamblers.

Although they might not be as fun and entertaining as the best real money slots, video poker games offer much better winning odds — especially if you know how to play to win.

Adopting the right video poker strategy can make a big difference in any of the games included in IGT's Five Play Draw.

Each of the games requires a different strategy. You will need to learn how to adjust to the rules of each game to know how to use your cards and increase your chances to win.

Although the Jacks or Better video poker strategy has some traits in common with other similar ones like the Deuces Wild video poker strategy, the two are also different enough to not be interchangeable.
